About Me

My name is Ogemdi Adeboje. I am married to my amazing husband, Adebunmi Adeboje, check out his IG (@certifiedlastcarrierpodcast). We are blessed with two amazing children, ChiDubem, 4years old, and Chimamanda, 17 months old, (@takingchargewithadose). Besides being a full time mom, I work as a first grade teacher at a charter school in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago, IL.

God placed it in my heart to start a blog for moms a while back, and without much clarification, I started one, and called it "Everything Babies and More." But I wasn't pregnant at the time, but with the blog came the suspicions of pregnancy.  I don't know if you've experienced a situation where people assume you're pregnant the day after you get married. I know I have. Anyway, I wasn’t ready for the attention, So i withdrew the blog. One month later, I found out I was actually pregnant, and then life happened

My first pregnancy was a high risk pregnancy. Oh, did I mention I was in graduate school at the time too? I learned first hand what being a mom really meant, and thank God I made it through. He's great, full of energy, super dramatic, love him. My second was not planned, but  thankfully it wasn’t high risk. She is also amazing and very expressive. But with two children, starting a career, and figuring out how this whole life as a mom thing works, I can only thank God. And my husband, he helped. And now we are here.

In between all these amazing life changing events, I learned a whole lot, and I believe other mamas out there can benefit from what I've learned. In addition, I finally got some clarity about what this blog should be about - help fellow new mamas.

I write all these to say that I believe the purpose of this blog is to help other moms with ideas that worked for me, both physically and spiritually. I also plan on sharing DIY tips from school lunch ideas, to dealing with preschool drama, to biblical principles on how I got through some difficult and challenging seasons of my life. Now what worked for me may not work for you, but I hope that at least one of the tips I share will encourage and help you on your motherhood journey.
